National Network Of Area Consultative Committees - Charter

A new Charter for the 54 Area Consultative Committees, covering metropolitan, regional, rural and remote regions of Australia, has been developed by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government in consultation with ACCs and Ministers.

The Charter recognises that ACCs provide an important link between the Federal Government and regional and metropolitan Australia. As volunteer, community-based organisations, ACCs are uniquely placed to respond to issues in their regions and provide a vital conduit to government on local social and economic conditions.
